Connecting your Humax to a HDTV:

HDMI = High Definition Multimedia Interface
DVI = Digital Video Interface

To correctly receive and view HD Transmitions
wheather from TV / Sat Broadcasts or Directly
from a game consoles, you will be required to connect
either your receiver, or console, to a HDTV, using
either a DVI or HDMI lead.

Some HDTV's may only have a DVI input, many will have both a DVI & HDMI input
if you have one with only a DVI input
then the cable supplied with your Humax HDCI-2000
will need to be changed to a HDMI -> DVI cable
or you could simply get yourself a HDMI -> DVI converter

Male Single Link Cable.

HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI that handles digital data transfers at rates up to 5 Gbps.
HDMI provides an interface between any HDMI-enabled audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, and A/V receiver and an audio and/or video monitor or projector.
HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.
It transmits all ATSC HDTV standards and supports 8-channel digital audio, with bandwidth to spare to accommodate future enhancements and requirements.

All above support the following screen resolutions:
480i
480p
720p
1080i

HDMI Switch Box

Switch Box:
Does your HDTV only have one HD input ?
And you now need more ?
If your HDTV only has one HD port and you have more than one device then you may be want to consider getting yourself a 2 or 5 port HDMI switch box.
The box will allow you to switch between your devices without needing to constantly change the cable which is connected to the back of your HDTV.

Also supplied is a full 21 pin Scart Lead
for use on non HDTV's as you can use this
receiver to view satellite HD Broadcasts
on a non HDTV, but you will not get the
full benefit of the picture quality on a non HDTV
